BEIJING, March 28th (ABP) – African journalists being in China from late February as part of Travelogue of China program, accompanied by the director of China International Press Communication Center (CIPCC), Yu Lei,  made on Tuesday March 26, 2024, a visit to the Museum of the Communist Party of China (CPC) located in Beijing, capital of China.
During the visit, communication facilitators recalled that the the Communist Party of China was founded on July 1, 1921. From 1921 to 1949, the CPC led the Chinese people in their arduous armed struggle and finally succeeded in overthrowing the rule of imperialism, feudalism and bureaucrat-capitalism and establishing the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
After the founding of the PRC, they added, the CPC led the Chinese people of all ethnic groups in defending the independence and security of the country, successfully completing the transition from new democratic revolution to socialist revolution, carrying out systematic large-scale socialist construction, and achieving economic and cultural progress unparalleled in Chinese history.
After the founding of the PRC, the CPC continued to lead the nation to make constant progress by triumphing over repeated threats, sabotages and armed provocation of imperialists and hegemonists; safeguarding the nation’s independence and security; successfully achieving a great transfer of the Chinese society from new-democratism to socialism; accomplishing, in a general sense, the socialist transformation of the private ownership of the means of production; and launching the large-scale socialist economic construction in a planned way; and enabling Chinese economic and cultural causes to attain unprecedented development.

At its nature, they revealed, the CPC is the vanguard of the Chinese working class as well as the Chinese people and the Chinese nation. It is the core of leadership for the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The Party represents the development trend of China’s advanced productive forces, the orientation of China’s advanced culture and the fundamental interests of the overwhelming majority of the Chinese people.
After the Third Plenary Session of the Eleventh Party Central Committee at the end of 1978, the country embarked on the biggest change in the history of New China. From 1979, the CPC began to carry out the reform and opening-up policy initiated by Deng Xiaoping.
In more than two decades since the initiation of the reform and opening-up, China’s economic and social development has been crowned with remarkable success and the country has taken on a new look. This has been the best period since the founding of the PRC in which the Chinese people have reaped the most material benefits.
Following the Party’s 18th National Congress in 2012, socialism with Chinese characteristics entered a new era. ” The main tasks facing the Party in this period are to fulfill the First Centenary Goal, to embark on the new journey to accomplish the Second Centenary Goal, and to continue striding toward the great goal of national rejuvenation. The Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core has led the entire Party, the military, and the Chinese people of all ethnic groups in forging ahead. The goal of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects has been accomplished within the timeframe set, and the cause of the Party and the country has seen historic achievements and undergone historic changes. All this demonstrates the great vitality of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The whole Party, the armed forces, and all Chinese people are more united and inspired than ever before. We are now equipped with stronger institutions, firmer material foundations, and a more proactive mindset for realizing national rejuvenation. Through tenacious struggle, the Party and the people have shown the world that the Chinese nation has achieved the tremendous transformation: it has stood up and grown prosperous, and it is becoming strong “, journalists read on one of the walls making up the CPC museum.
Since Xi Jinping took power, he has initiated a wide-reaching anti-corruption campaign, while centralizing powers in the office of CPC general secretary at the expense of the collective leadership of prior decades. In 2021, CPC celebrated its centenary, and China lifted all people across the nation to walk out of extreme poverty. This marks a significant milestone for China as well as the world, communication facilitators told the journalists.
To make a long story short, the CPC museum is a library for the history of the party and that of the country when considering the photos and statues exhibited inside the museum, representing the great figures that marked the history of China, including the statue of Chana’s late president Mao Zedong and the photo of China’s current president Xi Jinping. The museum helps clearly understand the three fundamental questions we should ask ourselves when we talk of nation building, such as ” Where do we come from?; Who are we?; Where are we going? “, and we owe the latter to Prof. Dr. Wang Yiwei in his lecture entitled ” From Chinese modernization to global modernization for all “.
