GITEGA December 4th (ABP) – Burundi Senate President , Mr. Emmanuel Sinzohagera, received in audience, Friday December 1, 2023, in his office, the Turkish Ambassador to Burundi, Mr. Alp Isikli.
According to the spokesperson for the President of the Senate, Ms. Annabelle Niyubahwe, Ambassador Isikli came to make a courtesy visit, to present to the President of the Senate his cooperation projects with the Burundian parliament. He promised to continue the momentum of his predecessor ambassador.
Ms. Niyubahwe also clarified the areas of intervention that Mr. Isikli cited. Those are education, security, health and economic development of Burundi.
She also indicated that the Turkish ambassador to Burundi expressed his country’s desire to be alongside the Burundian government in its vision of 2040 and 2060.
