GITEGA, October 12th (ABP) – The provincial administration of Gitega (center of the country), in collaboration with the provincial committee in charge of security, distributed on Tuesday, October 10, 2023, 100 bags of sugar to 29 orphanages and centers for disabled people working in that province as well as the police training center located in Mwanzari in Makebuko commune, to support their activities.

The governor of the Gitega province, Mr. Venant Manirambona, indicated that this quantity of sugar was seized in different corners of the province, from traders who sold it fraudulently. Justice handed over the seized quantity to the provincial committee in charge of security for its management, he said.

It is within that framework that this sugar was distributed to all orphanages and centers for the disabled of the province as well as the Mwanzari police training center in Makebuko commune.

Governor Manirambona reported that the provincial and security administration made that visit unexpectedly, as part of recognizing the daily activities of those centers, which help in the development of the country.

The deaf-mutes housed in Mushasha thanked the provincial administration for that very useful help for them. Despite their handicap, they showed signs of joy and thanks in front of the governor and the deputy commissioner of the Center-East region.
