KARUSI August 31st (ABP) – The visit to various irrigated crops on Monday August 28, 2023 at Nkoronko hill in Buhiga commune by the governor Mrs. Dévote Nizigiyimana and the director in charge of agriculture (BPEAE), Jean Séverin Sinzobatohana, motivated the visitors who found out that this practice can revolutionize the agricultural sector.
Crops of corn staggered by sowing, those of eggplants, peas, potatoes, sweet potatoes, cocoyams, and soybeans beautify that hill, which since the year 2021-2022 has devoted itself to the agriculture by irrigation, Mr. Sinzobatohana revealed.
Governor Nizigiyimana congratulated the people of that hill who, despite the traditional method of damming water, managed to supply all the fields. She asked for good harvest management, sending all children to school with complete equipment as well as raising rabbits to respond to the Government’s appeal.
