BUJUMBURA June 27th (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi and current President of the East African Community, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, flew on Tuesday, June 27, 2023, to the Republic of Angola.
According to a press release issued by the head of the office in charge of information, communication and the Spokespersonship of the President of the Republic, Mrs. Rosine Guilène Gatoni, the Head of State has gone to Angola to take part in the Summit Quadripartite of the East African Community, the Economic Community of Central African States, the International Conference on the Great Lakes Region and the Southern African Development Community.
She also pointed out, through the press release, that this Summit is organized under the auspices of the African Union and will focus on the coordination and harmonization of regional responses to the conflict in the East of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
