MWARO May 25th (ABP) – The adviser to the governor of Mwaro province in charge of development, Jerôme Ndayishimiye, and the director of environment, agriculture and livestock in that province, together with the staff of the NGO TUBURA One-Acre fund, made, on Tuesday May 23, 2023, a trip to the villages of Nyamurenge, in Rusaka commune and Ruvumu in Kayokwe commune, to see the inventory of the bean fields of farmers supervised by that organization, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

During the trip, they found out that there is a clear difference between the fields of farmers supervised by the NGO TUBURA One-Acre and those of other farmers. They have noted that their performance will be good.

They took advantage of that observation to ask the members of the groups to continue to serve as an example, by applying the techniques learned within their households. They appealed to the agricultural monitors, the grassroots administration and the village staff of TUBURA to collaborate well, by raising awareness together, to bring all the farmers to be on the same level by practicing modern agriculture. As a result, there will be an improvement in production during the next agricultural season.

They seized that opportunity to remind the leaders of the groupings to sensitize their members, to take the lead in responding to the call of the government, according to which each household must maintain by watering, a field of 30 by 20 m, during the dry season.

The agents of the NGO TUBURA One-Acre fund underlined that they organize field trips to follow up, in particular, if the fertilizers provided have been used properly, as well as techniques.
