Two ministers have met with the people of Mwaro

MWARO January 17th (ABP) – The Minister of East African Community Affairs, Youth, Sports and Culture, Mr. Ezéchiel Nibigira and the Minister of Trade, Transport, Industry and Tourism, Mrs. Marie Chantal Nijimbere, met last week with the inhabitants of Mwaro province.

Minister Nibigira indicated that only EAC member countries namely Burundi and DR Congo speak French. Other countries speak English. He called on young people, especially those seeking employment, to learn the English language diligently to have the chance to work in EAC member countries.

As for the minister responsible for trade, she called on the people of that locality to produce more so that there is food and the surplus to sell. She also asked to process the harvested products.

Regarding the tourism sector, Mrs. Nijimbere called on businessmen to invest in that sector for the development of the province and the country. She said that the East African community contributes visibly in her ministry and provides employment to several members of the community.

During that meeting, the concerns that were raised by the people of Mwaro were related to entrepreneurship, sports, the tourism sector, transport, the rising prices of basic necessities and the speculations that observed in the sale of Brarudi products.

Responding to those questions, the two ministers reassured the people that their grievances are well noted and will soon find a solution.
