They also mentioned the problem of reception of national radios and televisions in certain localities, forcing the inhabitants to resort to foreign radio stations.

Minister Ndacayisaba reassured the participants that she will take this issue in hand, and that solutions will be found in consultation with RTNB officials for transmitters and telephone companies to improve the connection.

She also asked to establish the lists of localities not accessible for local telephony, to see how local companies can increase their connection to the said places.

Sellers of electronic money via Lumicash and Ecocash asked questions related to their services and facilities, which were answered by the Minister supported by various general managers, such as that of Onatel, the representative of Lumitel, and the governor of Cibitoke province who has promised to meet the officials of those telephone companies.

Young people in their innovations and job creations were encouraged by Minister Ndacayisaba. She promised them capacity building and material support, starting with the founder of the local radio station “voice of youth” broadcasting from the headquarters of Cibitoke province.

Mrs. Ndacayisaba also gave them advice on working in cooperatives and drawing up eligible projects for Banks and Microfinance.
