The Head of State has returned from Malabo

BUJUMBURA December 13th (ABP) – The President of the Republic, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, accompanied by his better half, Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye, returned on Friday, December 9, 2022, from an official mission he carried out in Malabo in the Republic of Equatorial Guinea.

Upon his arrival at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport, the Head of State was welcomed by various authorities made up of members of the government, defense and security corps and many others.

In an interview given to the press, the spokesperson for the President of the Republic, Mr. Alain Diomède Nzeyimana said that the Head of State went to Malabo to take part in the inauguration ceremonies of President Theodoro Obiang Nguema. According to Mr. Nzeyimana, President Ndayishimiye took the opportunity to congratulate the Guinean people for the behavior they have shown since the conduct of the election campaign until the proclamation of the results, which is, according to him, a good sign of democracy in Africa.

Mr. Nzeyimana also indicated that on the sidelines of those ceremonies, the President of the Republic held a dialogue with his counterpart Theodoro. They discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
