BUJUMBURA November 18th (ABP) – The Head of State Evariste Ndayishimiye received in audience the national under-18 handball team who came with the trophy won at the challenge trophy which took place in Nairobi, Kenya from 22 to October 29, 2022.
At the end of the audience, the spokesperson for President Alain Diomède Nzeyimana indicated that the Head of State congratulated them because that team which managed to win the tournament despite the limited means at its disposal. He informed that this team will participate in the handball world cup which will take place in Croatia next year. The Head of State promised them support so that this tournament takes place in the right conditions.
In general, the Head of State congratulated the young generation which is showing talents in all sectors. He promised the construction of modern sports stadiums to allow young people to prepare for international competitions without problems.
He asked all Burundians in general and the ministry in charge of youth in particular, to ensure that those young people who show talent are thanked and supported.
