KAYANZA November 11th (ABP) – The Burundian ombudsman, Mr. Édouard Nduwimana, proceeded on Wednesday, November 9, to the official handover of the kit consisting of bicycles, Android phones, umbrellas, bags and registers to municipal representatives of this institution in Kayanza (north).

According to Mr. Nduwimana, this equipment is intended for municipal representatives of the institution of the ombudsman of 98 municipalities of the country and will enable the beneficiaries to carry out their mission of prevention and resolution of disputes between the public authorities and the population.

On this occasion, Mr. Nduwimana expressed his satisfaction with the services of the communal representatives of the institution of the Ombudsman and took the opportunity to call on them to collaborate closely with the administration and the new institutions of hill mediators with a view to establish peace, security and social cohesion.

In turn, the socio-cultural adviser to the Governor of Kayanza, Mr. Sylvain Bakanibona, on this occasion, expressed his deep gratitude to the institution of the Burundian Ombudsman for having seen fit to set up representatives of this institution in the municipalities because, according to him, it has contributed to the resolution of conflicts without the population having to travel long distances to obtain justice.
