The First Lady granted school aid in Giheta commune

GITEGA October 25th (ABP) – The First Lady of Burundi and legal representative of the Good Action Umugiraneza Foundation, Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye, proceeded on Saturday October 22, 2022, in Giheta commune, in Gitega province (center of the country), to the launch of the school material distribution operation intended for 2,600 pupils in the country. That operation began at the basic school (ECOFO) of Murayi where Mrs. Ndayishimiye granted the said material to 746 pupils. It continued the same distribution at ECOFO Bubu, in the aforementioned commune, to 596 pupils.

In her speech for the occasion, the First Lady of Burundi appreciated the good relations of cooperation existing between Burundi and China, arguing that they act on the Umugiraneza Good Action Foundation and push it to move forward.

As for the Chinese ambassador to Burundi, she also praised the active cooperation between the two countries while specifying that her government remains alongside the Burundian government in improving school infrastructure and increasing the rate of pupils. In the future, she promised, cooperation focused on improving Burundian school education will be strengthened.
