KARUSI October 25th (ABP) – Under the high patronage of two bishops, Evariste Nijimbere and Aimé Joseph Kimararungu respectively of Buhiga and Gitega, the Anglican parish of Gitanga officially opened its doors on Sunday October 23, 2022 in the presence of several followers including donors in its construction.

After the cutting of the symbolic ribbon and the opening of the main stave by his Close, Mr. Evariste Nijimbere based himself on the Zaburi library extract versed 24 which recalls that only those who have been saved and understood the sacrifice of Jesus will go to the sky. This temple called Saint Luke Parish opened at the beginning of the week dedicated to Saint Luke to welcome the “lambs of God” and transform them, announced the diocesan bishop of Buhiga.

That parish was created and built for the construction of hearts said the bishop of Gitega Aimé Joseph Kimararungu who preached the love of his neighbor and especially the importance of forgiveness in daily life. Forgiveness is an obligation because, it is said, in the main prayer “Our Father” forgive us our sins as we forgive those who trespass against us, he recalled.

Bigirindavyi Charles, one of the main donors in the construction of this parish, very humbly, let it be known that his share of participation is equal to that of the person who voluntarily brought a single bucket of water with the aim of completing this work. They had asked everyone to contribute to the extent of their abilities and was I able to buy 120 sheets and pay for the transport bins of stones, rubble, sand and other building materials, he said.

Note that the construction project of that parish dates from 1935 with the arrival of white missionaries who had to change their minds to settle in the center of Buhiga.
