BUJUMBURA October 9th (ABP) – The ecumenical prayer of thanksgiving organized by the CNDD-FDD party every last Thursday of the month, took place on September 29, 2022, at the national office located in Bujumbura under the theme: “Practicing justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God” taken from the book of Micah, chapter 6, verse 8.
The President of the Republic of Burundi Evariste Ndayishimiye, at the same time President of the Council of Elders within the CNDD-FDD party was present in that prayer, accompanied by his wife Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye. Also participating in this activity were Vice President Prospère Bazombaza, CNDD-FDD party general secretary, Hon. Réverien Ndikuriyo, senior government officials and certain authorities.
In his speech, the Head of State insisted on the theme of the day. He declared that the Almighty blessed Burundi and the CNDD-FDD party during this month of September, through the trips he made to the countries of the sub-region and to America.
He therefore advised participants in that ecumenical prayer to walk humbly with the almighty and never forget where they came from so that they can thank God through good deeds they can do to vulnerable people.
President Ndayishimiye also invited the Bagumyabanga to remain united and continue the path of bringing the country to development, while adding that we must keep hope in God in difficult times.
According to CNDD-FDD party general secretary Hon. Réverien Ndikuriyo, during this month of October the CNDD-FDD party will continue to provide training to its militants so that they follow the ideology of the party and strengthen it. He also invited the members of the CNDD-FDD party to practice justice, love mercy and walk humbly with God as indicated by the word of God found in the holy scriptures.
