BUJUMBURA July 18th (ABP) – The Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Gélase Daniel Ndabirabe, joined Saturday, July 16, 2022, with the leaders of the Church of the Rock located in Bujumbura, to follow the preaching of the Reverend Pastor Marcello Tunasi from the Democratic Republic of Congo, who has been in Burundi since Friday, July 15, 2022 for a three-day evangelistic crusade, organized by the aforementioned church under the theme “Prepare the way of the Lord”.

In his sermon, to both religious and political leaders, based on the book of Isaiah, chapter 40 from the first verse to the 5th, Pastor Marcello stressed that any leader must lead for God and with God to console the people well. He also revealed 12 secrets that a leader must have for his leadership to be blessed. That includes having Jesus in your life and a covenant with God and being a role model for people to be able to influence them.

According to that reverend pastor, a leader must be a good spouse. “If you can’t take care of your household, how can you lead a church or a nation? he wondered. He added that a leader must be a good parent who gives enough time to his children and his companion. He must manage his time well, pray, fast, read the Bible, and manage the treasury of the church or that of the people well, live his leadership in humility, take sufficient time to rest, at least 8 hours a day, said Pastor Marcello.

During the Q&A session, Church of the Rock leaders wanted to know if a man of God can be a businessman and if a single pastor can bless marriage. Pastor Marcello said that before being a pastor you are human like so many others. For this purpose, the man of God must seek how to live and develop from his source of income.

“If we pray for someone so that he finishes his studies, it does not mean that the one who prays has also finished his studies”, exemplified the Reverend Pastor Marcello to mean that a single pastor has the right to bless marriage because he was anointed, he pointed out.

On the sidelines of the sermon, the Reverend Pastor of the Church of the Rock, Denise Nkurunziza, thanked the Speaker of the National Assembly for having taken part in that preaching session intended for both religious and political leaders. She also thanked Pastor Marcello for his preaching to the leaders.
