BUJUMBURA April 20th (ABP) – The Cabinet met on Wednesday April 20, 2022, under the chairmanship of the Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, with 10 items on the agenda, according to the press release from the secretariat general of the State.

This is the draft Memorandum of Understanding between Kenya Invest Authority and the Burundi Development Authority to be presented by the Services of the Presidency of the Republic, the draft decree revising Decree No. 100/045 of March 5, 2019 on the creation, mission, organization and operation of the national steering committee responsible for coordinating the implementation of development projects financed by partners within the framework of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, the draft decree revising the joint decree No. 120/121/VP1/VP2/04 of May 20, 2019 on the creation, missions, organization and functioning of a technical commission responsible for monitoring development projects financed within the framework of cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Burundi, the bill relating to the peaceful use, safety and security of nuclear energy and ionizing radiation, the three to be presented by the minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation.

It is also about the bill of review and budget report, financial year 2020-2021, the trade facilitation and integration project in the Great Lakes Region, both to be presented by the Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning, the support project for the Digital Economy Foundations “PAFEN” to be presented by the Minister of Communication, Information Technologies and the Media, the draft decree on the organization and operation of the National Authority for the Protection of Refugees and Stateless Persons, the draft decree on the missions, composition, organization and functioning of the Advisory Commission for Foreigners and Refugees and of the Appeals Committee, both to be presented by the Minister of the Interior, Community Development and Public Security, and finally the miscellaneous items.
