The President of the Republic received 4 new ambassadors who came to present their credentials to him

BUJUMBURA February 2nd (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Évariste Ndayishimiye received Tuesday, at the presidential palace Ntare Rushatsi, 4 new ambassadors who came to present their credentials to him. That is Bishop Dieudonné Datonou, the new Apostolic Nuncio who represents the Vatican in Burundi and whose headquarters are in Bujumbura. Mrs. Sasirit Tangulrat who will represent the Kingdom of Thailand and whose headquarters are in Nairobi. Mr. Aleli Admasu who is the new Ambassador of the State of Israel and whose headquarters are in Addis Ababa. It is also Mrs. Isatu Aminata Bundu whose head office is in Nairobi.

At the end of these hearings, the spokesperson for the President of the Republic, Évelyne Butoyi, indicated that the President of the Republic congratulated them on their new functions. The President of the Republic took this opportunity to discuss the situation prevailing in the country: a situation of peace, security and tranquility, indicated the President’s spokesperson.

Évelyne Butoyi also indicated that they spoke about the development of Burundi especially on the agricultural, educational and health sectors. They realized together that they must be developed in the service of our respective peoples. With the new apostolic nuncio, they exchanged on the faith in Burundi. In this regard, Évelyne Butoyi said, the President of the Republic shared with her the various prayer sessions organized by the government of Burundi, which sessions bring together all religious denominations, she said.
