BUJUMBURA February 2nd (ABP) – The Directorate of the Burundi Revenue Authority (OBR), through the Commissioner General of this institution Jean Claude Manirakiza, issued a press release on January 28, 2022, calling on all taxpayers to discharge their civic duty on time.
Thus, by this press release, the OBR informs all taxpayers having buildings and land for rent, that in accordance with article 93 of the law of June 25, 2021 fixing the general budget of the Republic of Burundi for the 2021/2022 financial year, the deadline for declarations of rental income and the payment of the related tax is set no later than 31 March 2022. The OBR recalls that the filing of declarations of rental income as well as the payment of the related tax for the fiscal year 2021/2022 began on January 1, 2022 and continues in the offices of the OBR located in Bujumbura, building Emmaüs, in Kigobe as well as in the various offices of the OBR located in all provinces of the country.
