CANKUZO January 7th (ABP) – The local leaders from Cankuzo province are called upon to make the development of the people their concern. That appeal was made on Wednesday January 5, 2022 by the governor of the province, Mr. Boniface Banyiyezako, in a security meeting he held in the Shinge village of Kigamba commune, a check by ABP revealed.
The governor of Cankuzo province thanked the people from Shinge village for their massive participation in community development work.
He said that peace and security are essential in everyone’s life.
However, he said, family problems are common at the community level when the latter must be the foundation of the country’s development. He called on people to make their homes the basis of development, of mores and of good culture.
Mr. Boniface Banyiyezako recalled that this year is of agriculture, the reason why he called on the population to make every effort in development work instead of wasting them in the threatening of security. He added that it is better to start farming different varieties to have a large yield. In addition, there is no activity generating income that should be subject to despise, he told the people.
He called them for family planning, the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, fraud and concubine behavior. That person in authority also called on the local administration to take ownership and be proud of the development of their people.
As for the pastoralists who have driven their cattle to Tanzania fearing the law on permanent stabling, he asked them to return them to their homes.
The governor of Cankuzo province returned to the issue of employment of underage children in housework and warned any employer of children in that category, saying that once caught, they will be punished in compliance with the law.
