The National Assembly analyzed and passed the draft calendar of activities for the ordinary parliamentary session of December 2021

BUJUMBURA January 5th (ABP) – MPs met on Tuesday January 4, 2022 in plenary session at Kigobe to analyze and pass the draft schedule of activities for the ordinary parliamentary session, from January 3 to 18, 2022, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

Among the activities of the ordinary parliamentary session of December 2021 planned for that period, are the work in committees and the retreat of the standing committee on public accounts and finance, economic affairs and planning for the analysis of bills on regulations and budget report (2016, 2017, 2018, 2018-2019, 2019-2020 and 2021).

Throughout that period, the members of the Lower House of Parliament will analyze and pass three bills, namely the bill on the status of officers of the National Police of Burundi, analysis and adoption of the bill on ratification by the Republic of Burundi of the protocol on the privileges and immunities of the East African Community and the analysis and adoption of the bill on the rail transport code.

Note that the MPs will also welcome the Tanzanian parliamentary delegation in plenary session on Thursday, January 13, 2022.
