The DPE teachers in Cankuzo are called on to regain attendance at work

CANKUZO November 18th (ABP) – The provincial director of education in Cankuzo, Mrs. Jeanne Hakizimana, during the celebration of the day dedicated to the teacher, last week, in Kigamba commune, called on the teachers of the direction provincial education in Cankuzo to be diligent at work to increase performance, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

In her speech, the provincial director of education in Cankuzo said she was satisfied with the place that her leadership has obtained, because Cankuzo province was the 4th nationally in the 9th year competition, 2021 edition.

During that day, this school authority thanked the administration for the awareness-raising meetings that it continues to organize for parents and teachers on the education of children of school age.

Despite all that, Mrs. Hakizimana reported that some of the schools in that province are facing problems of lack of desks, classrooms, teaching materials, and even teachers.

As for teachers who do not respect working hours or do not complete the programs, they do not yet have a place, said the provincial director of education. She added that they deserve sanctions, because these shortcomings are the causes of poor performance in schools.

The representative of the collective of teachers’ unions (COSESONA) in Cankuzo, Mr. Ali Ntawanka, praised the teacher recruitment process that applies today. But he asked the state to return the teachers who had been redeployed during the redeployment campaign. He also called for an increase in the number of teachers to be recruited.

In his speech, the governor of Cankuzo province, Mr. Boniface Banyiyezako, took the opportunity to ask education stakeholders to self-assess and correct shortcomings.

On this day, prizes composed of notebooks and pens were given to the students who had the best results in the national exams, registers, reams of paper and radios to the teachers and schools having obtained the best places in relation to the rate of passing the state exam. And certificates of honor were given to the provincial education office and the governor’s office.
