The First Lady continues her campaign to wish children a Merry Christmas and a New Year

MURAMVYA October 28th (ABP) – The First Lady of Burundi, Mrs. Angéline Ndayishimiye, who is also the chairperson of the “Bonne action Umugiraneza” foundation, made a field trip on Tuesday October 26 at the kindergarten Faith school located in the Swahili district of headquarters of Muramvya province (center-west of Burundi), a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

The visit of the wife of the Head of State to the said school is part of the pursuit of her national campaign recently launched in the City of Bujumbura where she provides food and non-food aid to children or to the vulnerable for their wish a merry Christmas and best wishes for next year as stated by the 1st lady of the country.

On the second day of this national campaign, Mrs. Ndayishimiye gave the students of Faith school kindergarten food and school materials from the “Bonne action Umugiraneza” foundation. The 1st lady said that her foundation has set itself the goal of celebrating Christmas and New Year’s holidays for all children in need. Everyone knows that children love two feasts, she said, indicating that there are orphaned children or those from poor families who are unable to celebrate.

Fearing that the houses built for vulnerable people during community works will not be demolished during this rainy season, the head of state’s wife called on the natives of Muramvya province to bring their tin contributions to cover them.

Note that the 1st lady of the country was welcomed by the governor of Muramvya province, Mr. Diomède Nzambimana along with the heads of provincial services and the provincial secretary of the CNDD-FDD party, Mr. Evariste Ntawuyankira.
