The Burundian Senate has unanimously approved two new ambassadors proposed by the Head of State

GITEGA October 26th (ABP) – The 39 senators of Burundi unanimously approved two new ambassadors proposed by the President of the Republic of Burundi respectively Ambassador Willy Nyamitwe and Brigadier General Ntirampeba Mwamba Agricole. The senators approved these new ambassadors after the presentation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, Mr. Albert Shingiro on the route of the positions of responsibility previously occupied by these two ambassadors.

Ambassador Willy Nyamitwe had previously held several political and technical positions, including the head of the Communication and Media Office of the President of the Republic of Burundi from 2020-2021, Senior Advisor to the Presidency of the Republic of Burundi from 2014- 2020, deputy spokesperson for the President of the Republic of Burundi from 2011-2014, advisor to the presidency of the Republic of Burundi from 2005-2007.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs then presented the responsibilities previously exercised by the new Brigadier General Ntirampeba Mwamba Agricole, in particular in charge of missions to the Presidency of the Republic of Burundi from 2012-2021, Director General of the National Intelligence Service from 2008-2012 , in charge of missions to the presidency of the Republic of Burundi from 2007-2008, head of the peacekeeping mission in Sudan from 2007-2010 and director general of the demobilization department at the ministry of national defense from 2004-2005.
