Burundi’s membership of the East African Development Bank was on the menu of the Cabinet meeting

BUJUMBURA October 17th (ABP) – The Cabinet met on Thursday October 14, 2021 under the chairmanship of Head of State Evariste Ndayishimiye at the Ntare Rushatsi House with ten items on the agenda.

According to the press release from the General Secretariat of the State, that is the draft decree amending the decree of April 7, 2021 on the creation, management and coordination of the Economic Empowerment and Youth Employment Program “PAEEJ”, presented by the services of the Prime Minister, the draft National Planning Guide, a Note on the ex-EPB / GPSB file, a Note on Burundi’s application for membership of the African Development Bank from the East, the three points presented by the Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning.

It is also about the draft decree establishing the protocol guide for Burundi presented by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation, a Proposal for the mode of financing of the Uvinza-Musongati railway project, of the bill governing games of chance, both presented by the Minister of Trade, Transport, Industry and Tourism.

The Cabinet will also analyze the draft decree revising the decree of May 30, 1991 reorganizing the National Institute of Public Health “INSP” presented by the Minister of Public Health and the Fight against AIDS, the bill on the ratification by the Republic of Burundi of the grant agreement for the financing of the Support Project for the Improvement of Skills and Employability of Women and Youth (PACEJ) presented by the Minister of National Education and Scientific research and finally Miscellaneous.
