BUBANZA August 23rd (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Evariste Ndayishimiye, called, on Thursday, the 19th, all concerned to synergistic and complementary work for the increase of agro-pastoral production and the fight against poverty.
It was during his visit to the agricultural techniques demonstration center supported by China, located in Kizina village in Gihanga commune, before a meeting was held with the officials of the ministry having agriculture and livestock in its attributions, and the governors of the provinces.
Within that agricultural techniques demonstration center, the President of the Republic of Burundi, accompanied by the Chinese Ambassador to Burundi, visited experimental fields for rice, corn, peanuts, vegetable gardens and places planned for fish farming and poultry farming, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.
Here, the Chinese Ambassador to Burundi, Mrs. Zhao Jiangping, pledged support for the “responsible” and “laborious” state program and the Chinese experts will have to work closely with the relevant technical services of the Burundian government for the realization. economic and social development projects, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

The spokesperson for the President of the Republic, Mrs. Evelyne Butoyi, told the press that the President of the Republic requested the good preparation of the growing season A, leading a synergistic and complementary work, each according to his specialties, for the increase in agro-pastoral production and the fight against poverty.
According to Mrs. Butoyi, the President of the Republic recommended to BPEAEs to remain “birthing centers” and to ISABU to strengthen research on selected seeds, and to private individuals to devote themselves to seed multiplication under the coordination of BPEAE.
Note that after the meeting, the President of the Republic of Burundi visited the Randa farm where he recommended the free exploitation of the rice fields of this farm by cooperatives and those concerned to review the contract between the farm and the State.
