The Speaker of the National Assembly calls on Christians to positive change and sincere forgiveness

KAYANZA August 2nd (ABP) – The Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr Daniel Gélase Ndabirabe, launched on Friday, July 30, 2021, in Kayanza commune and province (northern Burundi), the 3rd edition of the “Africa miracles” crusade organized by Israel Church Burundi.

The Minister of the Environment, Agriculture and Livestock, Mr. Déo Guide Rurema, parliamentarians elected in Kayanza constituency, Kayanza Governor Colonel Rémy Cishahayo, heads of provincial services and communal administrators attended the crusade, a check in Kayanza by ABP revealed.

That three-day crusade which saw the presence of the faithful of other religious denominations operating in Kayanza province was organized under the theme: “God, whom we have put forward, will guide us and lead us peacefully to the destination”. It was also an opportunity to provide food and non-food assistance to 100 vulnerable people in Kayanza commune. The aid consisted of rice, beans and loincloths.

In his welcome speech, Governor Cishahayo commended the collaboration that exists between religious denominations and the administration. He also underlined that religious denominations contribute a lot especially in the educational and health sectors.

In his preaching, Apostle Vital Nzubahimana reassured the faithful of the religious denominations present at the crusade by telling them that God does not reproach Burundi; hence he can in no case uproot it.

On his part, the speaker of the National Assembly indicated that God is always present in Burundi while inviting Christians to analyze their way of praying. For him, to pray is to accept to change positively and to forgive sincerely. Mr. Ndabirabe thus invited the people of Kayanza in general and the participants in that prayer in particular to pray to God without forgetting to work.
