The bill on the prevention and repression of cybercrime in Burundi was among the items on the agenda of the Cabinet Meeting

GITEGA July 23rd (ABP) – Burundi Head of State Evariste Ndayishimiye chaired the Cabinet Meeting on Wednesday, July 21, in the House based in Gitega (central Burundi). Eight items were on the agenda of that Cabinet Meeting, according to a note from the General Secretary of State that a check by ABP consulted.

The first item presented by the Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning related to the expenditure commitment ceilings for the first quarter of 2021/2022.

In turn, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Development Cooperation developed two items, namely the 2018-2027 sector strategy of that ministry and the bill establishing the protocol manual of Burundi.

As for the Minister of the Interior, Community Development and Public Security, his presentations concerned four items, namely the bill revising organic law N° 1/03 of February 20, 2017 on mission, organization, composition and functioning of the National Police of Burundi; the bill on the prevention and repression of cybercrime in Burundi; the draft decree on the mission, organization, composition and functioning of the national emergency operations center; and the draft decree regulating the manufacture and reproduction of keys in Burundi.

Finally, the Minister of the Environment, Agriculture and Livestock made a communication on the last item in connection with the draft decree on the institutionalization of a national inventory system for greenhouse gases.
