NGOZI June 18th (ABP) – Burundi Head of State Evariste Ndayishimiye met on Wednesday June 16 in Ngozi province (northern Burundi), natives of Ngozi, administrative officials, heads of services and representatives of religious confederations, within the framework of moralization sessions for the population, a check by ABP revealed.

President Ndayishimiye returned to the situation prevailing in Burundi and the history of the country which is littered with cyclical crises that have plagued the country.

“Burundians must know the past of their country and love it”, specified the Head of State, who indicated that he is there to continue the work of patriotism inaugurated in Burundi by his predecessor, the late president Nkurunziza. He insisted on the role of the natives of the province in development. To achieve this, they must fight against all divisive ideas, corruption and other economic embezzlement, and the waste of the country’s resources. He also invited the Burundians to change their mentalities and adopt positive attitudes.

The natives and residents of the province must invest in the development of their entity because, he stressed, no one else will be able to do it for them. Before concluding, the President of the Republic of Burundi invited the people of Ngozi to participate in a three-day prayer crusade organized since Thursday, June 17 in Gitega to give thanks to the Lord, after a year of his inauguration at the head of the country.
