Senior police officers are called on to promote reconciliation

BUJUMBURA May 31st (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, calls on the senior officers of the national police of Burundi to promote peace and reconciliation.

This was said during a moralization session hosted on Friday, May 28, 2021 in Bujumbura in the premises of the National Institute of Public Health (INSP), for the senior officers of the national police of Burundi.

That moralization session came after that which was hosted on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 for the executives of the National Defense Force.

These are the words of the spokesperson for the Head of State, Mrs. Evelyne Butoyi in an interview with the press just after the moralization session, which took place in camera.

Mrs. Butoyi said that the discussions focused on patriotic love and good governance, fair justice and their contribution so that integral development is for everyone a goal to which they must contribute without exception.

President Ndayishimiye called on senior police officers to make their commitment to awaken their awareness of Burundian history littered by cyclical crises that have characterized society. Thus, he called on them to read the history of Burundi in the same way in order to get involved and invest in the development of the country.
