NGOZI, June 29th (ABP) – The chief of staff of the governor of the province of Ngozi (northern Burundi), Alain Patrick Muheto, has promised to encourage the supervision of young people during the summer holidays, he announced on Friday 21 June after receiving the managers of the C Bob-Empire club.

The latter wanted to ask for the support of the provincial government for the Kota 2 Kota dance competition.

The competition brings together young people from 15 neighborhoods in the town of Ngozi.

Mr. Muheto explained that the provincial government supports activities that bring young people together. It also supports the related activities the club plans to carry out that summer. Those include collecting rubbish and keeping the town clean as part of the zero-waste vision for the town, training and sensitizing young people on sexual and reproductive health (SRH), the fight against sexually transmitted infections, including HIV/AIDS and so on.

In addition to the activities of Club C Bob-Empire, the various local authorities have already planned a number of holiday activities.
