Urban resilience project, one of the items on the agenda of the Cabinet meeting

BUJUMBURA, May 24th (ABP) – The Cabinet met on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 under the auspices of the Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye. In total, 7 points were on the agenda.

The additional financing project for the regional statistics program for the results of the East African Community was presented by the Minister of Finance, Budget and Economic Planning.

The draft ministerial order revising the ministerial order of October 2, 2000 regulating the royalties of the Palm Oil Office was presented by the Minister of the Environment, Agriculture and Breeding.

The Minister of Infrastructure, Equipment and Social Housing, for his part, submitted 3 projects to the Cabinet for analysis. Those are the draft decree establishing the regulatory and control authority for real estate transactions, the draft ministerial order establishing the conditions for carrying out real estate development activity in the private sector in Burundi and the draft urban resilience.

The Minister of Transport, for his part, presented the draft joint ministerial order revising the joint ministerial order setting the rate of duties and fees collected on maritime and port transport activities.

The Minister of Hydraulics, Energy and Mines, for his part, submitted to the Cabinet the project to accelerate the transformation of access to clean and sustainable energy in Burundi (Accelerating sustainable and Clean Energy Access Transformation-Ascent Burundi). A miscellaneous item is on the agenda of the Cabinet, namely how to consider an extraordinary cabinet meeting for the budget bill.
