The Head of State calls on the people to safeguard peace and security

CANKUZO, May 22nd (ABP) – On Monday 20 May 2024, Burundi’s Head of State Evariste Ndayishimiye held talks with the population of the Cendajuru commune in Cankuzo province, following a self-assessment meeting with leaders of the Ministry of the Environment, Agriculture and Livestock held in the same commune, a check on the site by ABP has disclosed.

The President of the Republic, Evariste Ndayishimiye, called on the people to safeguard peace and security, while encouraging them to get down to the work of self-development so that the objective of a Burundi that will be emerging in 2040 and developed in 2060 can be achieved.

Mr Ndayishimiye took the opportunity to announce that the commune would soon have electricity. He also revealed that the modern road that will pass through that commune and continue to Gahumo on the Burundi-Tanzania border will be built.

As for the entrepreneurs, Mr Evariste Ndayishimiye urged them to set up units to process agricultural produce.
