BUJUMBURA, April 16th (ABP) – On Saturday 13 April 2024, the National Gathering for Change (RANAC) party organised a meeting with the party’s national representatives to discuss preparations for the 2025 elections.
RANAC representative Aloys Baricako explained that the purpose of the meeting was to analyse how the RANAC party could stand in the 2025 elections, and to enable its representatives to make contacts, since the delimitation of provinces means that some people do not know each other.
On the question of whether RANAC could take part in the elections on its own or in coalition with other parties, Mr Baricako said that the assembly of national representatives of the party had recommended that the party’s leadership should do everything possible to ensure that RANAC could take part in coalition with other political parties, while hoping that the elections would be transparent and free.
Mr. Baricako asked those national representatives to be responsible during the 2025 elections and not to interfere in events that could threaten the lives of the population. The meeting was held behind closed doors.
