MWARO, January 14th (ABP) – Savings and loan cooperatives are of paramount importance.
In fact, they ensure the security of the currency against thieves and they offer loans to their customers. This was said by Mr. Fataki Jean Bosco met on Thursday January 11, 2024, at the savings and loan cooperative (COOPEC) in the Makamba zone (Rusaka commune).
According to Mr. Fataki, if the money is placed in a bank or microfinance, it is secure, thus inviting the people of the Makamba zone to change their mentalities.
When someone sells a cow or a piece of land, he said, they can easily put their money in a bank to better protect it.
As an example, he reported that the period of withdrawal from circulation of five and ten thousand notes in June 2023 caused enormous harm to several people who had kept their money at home instead of investing it in banking or microfinance institutions.
