BUJUMBURA December 18th (ABP) – The Prime Minister of the Republic of Burundi Gervais Ndirakobuca received in audience that Friday, December 15, 2023 in Bujumbura the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Burundi Mr. Alp ISKLI.
In an interview given to the press just after that audience, Moise Bucumi, the spokesperson for the Prime Minister’s Office, said that ISKLI was carrying an invitation for the President of the Republic of Burundi. President Ndayishimiye is invited to participate in the 3rd edition of the Antalya forum on diplomacy.
Spokesman Bucumi said that that forum was to be held on February 16, 2023 but was disrupted by the earthquake which severely shook Turkey and which claimed many lives.
The said forum was then postponed for next year and will take place from March 1 to 3, 2024, he added. According to Bucumi, the two authorities had the opportunity to review the good relations of friendship and cooperation that exist between the two countries while committing to work together to further strengthen them.
