BUJUMBURA, September 28th (ABP) – The Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, chaired, on Wednesday September 27, 2023, at the Ntare Rushatsi House, the Cabinet meeting with five items on the agenda.
The Cabinet members looked at the bill for Employment and Economic Transformation of Burundi (PRETE), presented by the Minister in charge of finance.
The Minister in charge of Hydraulics, Energy and Mines presented two bills to the Cabinet members: the draft interim agreement for the implementation of the electrification program for villages of the country by the company Virunga Power Holding Ltd and the Bill on revision of the law of April 25, 2015, reorganizing the electricity sector in Burundi.
The Minister in charge of the environment presented the draft decree revising the decree of October 7, 2016, implementing measures for the environmental code in relation to the environmental and social impact study procedure.
The last item which drew the attention of the Cabinet members concerns the draft decree revising the decree of October 28, 2020 relating to missions, organizations and operation of the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research, presented by the Minister in charge of national education.
