The Vision document of Burundi as an emerging country in 2040 and a developed one in 2060, on the agenda of the Cabinet meeting

BUJUMBURA August 31st (ABP) – The President of the Republic, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, chaired the Cabinet meeting on Wednesday August 30, 2023 at Ntare Rushatsi House. Six items were on the agenda, including one miscellaneous item.

The Cabinet members looked at the vision document of Burundi as an emerging country in 2040 and a developed one in 2060. The document was to be presented by the Presidency of the Republic.

The Minister of Health was in the spotlight. She presented four of the items on the agenda: a bill and three draft decrees. The bill concerns the ratification of the convention on the privileges and immunities of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

As for the draft decrees, two concern the creation, organization and operation of orders: the Order of Allied Health Professions in Burundi “OPASBU”; the Order of Nurses and Midwives in Burundi “OISAF”, while the third draft decree concerns the code of ethics and professional conduct for health care and service providers in Burundi.

The miscellaneous item concerns the note on the fixing of the passing mark for the entrance examination to post-basic education.
