An Algerian delegation from the FLN ruling party will take part in activities of “Imbonerakure Day”, 7th edition

BUJUMBURA August 24th (ABP) – An Algerian delegation from the ruling party, National Liberation Front (FLN), came to participate in activities marking the celebration of the day dedicated to young Imbonerakure, “Imbonerakure Day”, arrived on Tuesday August 22, 2023 at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport. That day will be celebrated on August 26, 2023 in Makamba province at the “Nkurunziza Peace Park Complex Stadium” under the theme: “The role of African youth in promoting the values of peace and security, pillars of sustainable development”.

The national secretary in charge of political and legal issues at the CNDD-FDD party, Mr. Jean Marie Muhirwa, who welcomed the said delegation, said that the CNDD-FDD party is satisfied with this gesture. He specified that the organization of that day is an opportunity to mobilize the youth to go about development activities for the reconstruction of Burundi, but also of Africa. He took that opportunity to ask the people of other African countries to always come together, especially the youth, to be able to combine efforts, share ideas and experiences so that the youth can actively contribute to the reconstruction of Africa.

Mr. Muhirwa did not fail to point out that other delegations are expected. He specified that more than 20 countries will be represented, out of more than 26 countries invited. He indicated that before the date of celebration of the day, various activities are planned, including exchange workshops and other meetings.

The representative of young people affiliated to the FLN party, who represented the Algerian delegation, Mr. Salem IDDA, expressed his feelings of joy. Recalling that African countries share the same challenges, he pointed out that the activities of that day will be an opportunity to discuss ways of solution to the various challenges that haunt the development of African countries. He noted that he hope to come up with proposals that can lead the youth to prepare a better future for the African continent.
