BUJUMBURA August 18th (ABP) – The association “United Partners for Humanitarian Welfare” (UPHWO), in collaboration with the ministry responsible for youth and culture, officially launched, on Wednesday August 16, 2023, in Bujumbura, the Burundi Kids Got Talent competition, 1st edition, with the objective of detecting, supporting and promoting the talents of children for a better future.

That association has a vision to build communities in which each child achieves the fulfillment, development and participation of their talents for their future and their well-being.

On that occasion, the UPHWO leader announced that Burundi has always been a country lacking in talent and that the majority of Burundians are young people.

In Burundi, children grow up with different talents without knowing it, hence some waste their time engaging in other activities in which they are not talented, he explained.

He also said that the Burundi Kids Got Talent competition also aims to exhibit and promote the talents of children under 18, to give them space through their talents so that they can develop, guided by their elders.

Regarding the conduct of the competition, the head of the organization, Mr. Azarias Nkengurutse, announced that the competition will touch different disciplines, among others, songs, dances, acrobatics, poetry and music.

Registration will close on Thursday August 17 and can be done in two ways, either online via www.UPHWO.org or at the UPHWO headquarters located in Kigobe in the urban commune of Ntahangwa.

On the same date, the selection for the semi-final will take place at the City Hill Hotel and the selected ones will be supervised from August 19 to 21 to prepare for the final. The latter will take place at the professional training center located in Kigobe and the best will have as an award, an envelope not yet revealed and a plane ticket for the international competitions.
