The First Lady has received in audience the ambassador of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire

BUJUMBURA August 16th (ABP) – The First Lady of the Republic of Burundi, Angeline Ndayishimiye, received in audience, on Saturday August 12, 2023, at the Office of the First Lady for Development in Burundi (OPDD-Burundi), the Ambassador of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to Burundi, Mr. Silas Adjé Metch, residing in Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).

At the end of the audience, the ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Burundi told the press that their talk focused on the various issues, given that the first lady of Burundi carries out charitable activities.

Mr. Silas Adjé also pointed out that he was carrying a message from the First Lady of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire, Dominique Ouattara, Chairperson of the Children of Africa Foundation, a message aimed at strengthening ties of friendship and of cooperation between Burundi and Côte d’Ivoire, and in joint activities within the framework of the organization of the first ladies of Africa (OPDAD).

The two persons high in authority also expressed the wish to see the sharing of experiences between Burundian women and Ivorian women in their various development projects.

According to the Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Burundi, the said session was also an opportunity to congratulate the First Lady of Burundi for winning the United Nations Population Prize, 2023 edition.
