Celebration of the silver jubilee of the communal high school of Kabuye 1

KAYANZA May 30th (ABP) – Kabuye 1 communal high school in the commune and school province of Kayanza (north) celebrated its 25th anniversary on Saturday May 27, 2023.

As indicated by the director of the Kabuye 1 communal high school, Claver Hakizimana, the celebration of the silver jubilee took place at a time when the school has continued to experience success both in the multiplication of classrooms and in successes in national competitions and examinations. He was delighted that the said high school had already issued 558 diplomas and certificates combined. Of these, 227 were students who passed the state exam giving access to university education.

However, he deplored the dilapidated state of eight classrooms and the director’s office. Thus, he asked that the communal administration of Kayanza intervene in their rehabilitation.

In response to that concern, the permanent executive secretary of Kayanza commune, Sylvestre Nsaguye, promised that the commune will intervene as it continues to do so.

With that in mind, he asked the management of the Kabuye 1 communal high school to properly set up the project and send it to the communal administration, so that it could be included in the next communal community development plans.

For his part, the communal administrator of Kayanza urged teachers to serve as a model by correctly delivering well-prepared lessons and avoiding cases of lateness and absence.

As for the students, he invited them not to engage in idleness in order to avoid early pregnancies in schools.

The coordinator of pedagogical inspectors at the provincial directorate of education in Kayanza, Augustin Nzoramba, asked students and teachers to promote the culture of reading books because “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” (Dr Seuss). According to Augustin Nzoramba, if you do not read, you are like someone who does not eat.
