GITEGA/BUJUMBURA May 29th (ABP) – The CNDD-FDD party organized, as usual on May 25, 2025 the last Thursday of the month, an inter-faith prayer in its offices of Gitega and Bujumbura.

In Gitega province, the president of the Burundian Senate, Mr. Emmanuel Sinzohagera, recommended to the activists to form an indivisible unit to establish a lasting peace, source of the all-out development of the country, he specified. This was said in his preaching on the occasion of a thanksgiving prayer to God.

Indeed, Mr. Sinzohagera focused his preaching on how to proceed to have peace. He explained that one must enter into a relationship with God who is the source of peace. He added that where peace reigns, there is no slander, hatred, jealousy, lies, revenge, selfishness. Mr. Sinzohagera continued his preaching by indicating that in peace one cares about the well-being of the whole man.

Thus, he called on the militants who were present in that prayer to fight for peace in order to be able to lead the country toward the path of development. To achieve this, it would be better to harness the land rationally and use one’s intelligence to produce a lot, he said.

In turn, the provincial secretary of the CNDD-FDD party, Mr. Georges Nshimirimana, reminded those activists to all line up behind the development projects. He proposed to them, among other things, the livestock of rabbits and the exploitation of a kitchen garden of 20m by 10m, in this dry season, to counter the famine. The violator of this last project will be exposed to sanctions, as declared by the Burundi Prime Minister, he concluded.

In Bujumbura City Council, the CNDD-FDD party organized an inter-faith prayer at the national office under the direction of the deputy secretary general, Mr. Cyriaque Nshimirimana.

During his preaching, Apostle Vital Nzubahimana of Israel Church referred to the word of God found in the book of Jeremiah, chapter 29, verse 11, and in Ezekiel, chapter, 2 verse 30, in Genesis chapter 1 verse, 1-3. He called on CNDD-FDD militants to always maintain peace and tighten security, pillars of development. He also urged them to remain faithful even in the hard times that the country may go through such as the shortage of certain basic necessities. It was also an opportunity to call on those activists to respect the leaders, to love one another and to avoid hatred, jealousy, hypocrisy; in short, avoiding any sin.

For his part, the Deputy Secretary General of the CNDD-FDD party, Cyriaque Nshimirimana, asked the Bagumyabanga to serve as a model by increasing production for the vision of the Head of State Evariste Ndayishimiye to make Burundi an emerging country in 2040 and a developed one in 2060 to be reached.

As the harvest season begins, party activists are called for good management. The latter are asked to take the lead in fighting the bushfires. They are also invited to promote irrigation techniques for vegetables and other crops during the dry season.

The Bagumyabanga (Party activists) should also be characterized by a spirit of patriotism to follow the example of the late President Pierre Nkurunziza who had been crowned as supreme guide and patriot in Burundi.
