GITEGA January 18th (ABP) – The President of the Republic, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye received in audience on Tuesday January 17, 2023 at the palace of Gitega (Center of the country), a UNICEF delegation to Burundi led by its representative, Mr. John Egbe Agbor, a check in Gitega by ABP has revealed.
The representative of UNICEF to Burundi, Mr. John Egbe Agbor, told the press that they came to present its programs to him. He recalled that in Burundi UNICEF intervenes in several sectors including health, education, social protection, and so forth. They also discussed the main orientations of the country and how UNICEF can support the country in the implementation of the latter.
Note that before that audience, that delegation made a guided visit to the modern hutch that President Ndayishimiye has set up in the premises of the presidential palace of Gitega, with the aim of encouraging Burundians to raise at least 5 rabbits per household.
