In the political capital of Gitega (center of the country), this prayer was enhanced by the presence of the President of the Republic and Council of Elders of the said party, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, his wife Angeline Ndayishimiye and militants of this party. The theme for the day was inspired by Jacob 4:1-12.

The President of the Republic challenged the authorities from the CNDD-FDD party to be courteous, humble and responsible in their respective services while respecting the ideology of the party.

President Ndayishimiye did not forget to thank the Almighty who continues to show his love for Burundians. “God has shown his will by giving rain in the last few days,” he said. Based on this, the president urged Burundians to “worship the Lord in the Holy Spirit and in truth” and to avoid any form of hypocrisy, because, according to him, the current constitution consecrates God as the supreme authority of the nation.

In his sermon, Pastor Claver Ndayisenga advised Burundians in general and CNDD-FDD activists in particular not to be selfish and to pray with hope knowing that God can do anything.
