Vulnerable people in Giteranyi commune benefited from food assistance

MUYINGA October 14th (ABP) – The Giteranyi orphanage run by the Sisters of Calcutta and other vulnerable people in the Masaka zone of the same commune, Muyinga province (north-eastern Burundi), received last week from the hands of from the provincial governor, Mr. Jean Claude Barutwanayo, of living aid consisting of 800 kg of beans, a check on the site by ABP has revealed.

The Giteranyi orphanage received 300kg and a hundred vulnerable people from Masaka received 500kg at the rate of five kilograms per person. The governor of the province has made it a habit in his raids organized punctually to collect the grievances of the people.

At the end of the exchanges, the vulnerable chosen benefited from food assistance, a gesture that comforted those needy people for a few days.
