BUJUMBURA September 28th (ABP) – The President of the Republic of Burundi Évariste Ndayishimiye along with the First Lady of the country Mrs. Angéline Ndayishimiye, returned to the country on Sunday night September 25, 2022, after his participation in the 77th assembly General of the United Nations.
Upon his arrival at Melchior Ndadaye International Airport, he said that on the sidelines of this participation, he met heads of state including US President Joe Biden. They discussed the strengthening of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
Then, President Ndayishimiye met the businessmen. At the end of their exchanges, the latter agreed to invest in Burundi in various fields, including the agricultural sector.
