The First Lady received in audience the Italian ambassador to Burundi

BUJUMBURA September 13th (ABP) – The First Lady of Burundi, Mrs. Angeline Ndayishimiye received Monday, September 12, 2022 at the Ntare Rushatsi House, the Italian Ambassador to Burundi, Mr. Massimilliano Mazzanti.

At the end of the hearing, Mr. Massimilliano told the press that the exchanges with the First Lady of Burundi focused on areas of cooperation between the Republic of Italy and the foundation good action Umugiraneza chaired by the first lady of Burundi. On the same occasion, the Italian ambassador said that during the said meeting, Italy reaffirmed its commitment to intervene in the field of health, especially on the side of the Umugiraneza Clinic located in the Gitega province ( Commune Giheta), where the nursing staff of this hospital will receive from the Republic of Italy capacity building in relation to human fertility and the treatment of infertility, also providing the Umugiraneza clinic with certain necessary equipment in that area including ultrasound.

The nursing staff of the Umugiraneza clinic will also receive training in eye treatment (ophthalmology), the various skin diseases and facial reconstruction which will be dedicated especially to children and women who are often victims of domestic accidents including the burn which leads to the total destruction of the muscles.

The Italian ambassador did not forget to mention that Italy is ready to provide the Umugiraneza clinic with the necessary autonomy of energy source.
