Burundi will soon host the second edition of the EAC exhibition on tourism

BUJUMBURA August 3rd (ABP) – The Ministry of Trade, Transport, Industry and Tourism, Mrs. Marie Chantal Nijimbere organized, Monday August 1, 2022 in Bujumbura, a round table for the mobilization of financing for the second edition of the East African Community Tourism Exhibition (EARTE 2022-BURUNDI), scheduled in Bujumbura from September 23 to 30, 2022.

It was also an opportunity to raise awareness among stakeholders in the tourism sector to take ownership of the latter.

In an interview granted to the media at the end of that round table, the Minister responsible for tourism indicated that the holding of the latter was to discuss the opportunities offered by that exhibition, but also and above all to challenge all stakeholders in the tourism sector to prepare well, in order to be able to benefit from the achievements of that exhibition.

According to her, all the participants who will come to that exhibition will need a product kit, whether in the hotel sector, in the transport sector, in communication, etc. So, she pointed out, the stakeholders in those sectors are called upon to prepare themselves accordingly for the marketing of their tourist products, their know-how, their technologies, but also to be able to market the image of Burundi. as a tourist country.

Mrs. Nijimbere also indicated that this event will be a better opportunity to show the tourist sites that Burundi abounds.
