Approval by the Senate of the proposal for the appointment of the governor of Ngozi province

GITEGA May 20th (ABP) – At the request of the Burundi Head of State, Mr. Evariste Ndayishimiye, the members of the Burundian Senate meeting in plenary session, Wednesday, May 18, 2022, unanimously approved and after analysis, the proposal for the appointment of Mr. Emmanuel Ntaconsanze to the post of governor of Ngozi province.

The Minister of the Interior, Communal Development and Public Security, Mr. Gervais Ndirakobuca, who presented to the senators the curriculum vitae of the said future provincial governor, indicated that Mr. Ntaconsanze has experience in territorial administration. He specified that Mr. Ntaconsanze is currently chief of staff of the governor of Ngozi province and that he has been communal administrator more than once in this same province.

In addition, Mr. Ntaconsanze received training in good governance, leadership and protection of refugees and stateless persons, explained Minister Ndirakobuca.
