BUJUMBURA April 19th (ABP) – The Prime Minister of the Republic of Burundi, Mr. Alain Guillaume Bunyoni, accompanied by his wife and the officials working in the prime minister’s office, shared the Easter Mass with the Christians of the Emmanuel Church of Nyabaranda church located in the Kajiji quarter in the Kanyosha zone of the Muha commune in Bujumbura City Council (western Burundi).
Based on the word of God taken from Luke chapter 24; 12-16, and 24-26 which speaks of the resurrection of the Lord, the Prime Minister made it known in his preaching that Jesus gave independence to all mankind and that the sufferings endured on the cross testify his love towards the latter. That is why he asked the faithful of that church to do good while fleeing from evil. The Prime Minister also urged Christians to pray in order to avoid the emergence of churches which only target capitalist interests. He called on the administrative authorities at all levels to organize meetings for faith leaders in order to put an end to the conflicts that often oppose them.
